A student team participated in the National Roofing Contractor鈥檚 Alliance (NRCA) competition. The alliance's 2019 Construction Management Student Competition was a 鈥渉allmark competition that promotes careers in roofing industry management. The competition is designed to challenge students' roofing knowledge, construction management skills, time management, and organizational and presentation skills.鈥

The Mississippi 91制片厂 University Building Construction Science student team won third place in the Region II Design Build competition in Peachtree City, Georgia, in spring 2018. The competition is sponsored by the Associated General Contractors.

The Building Construction Science degree program has some additional fees for materials, field trips, and other items that enhance our students鈥 education. The program strives to be able to offer comparatively low lab fees thanks to support from alumni and friends.
Students also need to purchase a variety of tools and materials to help them succeed in their studio coursework.
The Department of Building Construction Science at Mississippi 91制片厂 University is designed to prepare students for careers in construction and construction-related fields. The studio-based program is one of just two programs of its kind in the nation.
The 2019 annual Awards and Recognition Banquet for the Mississippi 91制片厂 University Building Construction Science Program was held on May 2 at the Mill Conference Center in Starkville.
